Alexandre is passionate about science, art, and nature, which inspire much of his work.
Born on an island in southern Brazil, surrounded by beaches and lush forests, Alexandre has always been deeply connected to nature. The waves and surfing have been a lifelong passion, providing moments of calm and inspiration for his creative endeavours.
In contrast to his love for nature, technology has also been a significant part of his life, and from an early age, he knew it was his professional calling. Despite studying Electrical Engineering, art led him down an irreversible path. In 2002, he founded his solo enterprise, Terramidia (with “Terra” meaning Earth in Portuguese). Combining his love for art and technology, he dedicated many years to studying 3D animation, producing numerous films and commercials for individuals and companies worldwide, a pursuit he continues to this day with great enthusiasm. The world of 3D animation is vast and ever evolving, with endless opportunities for learning and growth. Perfection seems an elusive goal. Following the success of some of his digital characters, he has become known as “The Alien Guy.”
